In My Dreams

1. To record a song on drums with Dolly Parton.

I finally met her not too long ago in Tennessee, but I didn't really get to talk with her. It's been a life long goal that I've been persuing. I owe my entire career to her... (that story is posted in my old posts if you want to take a gander)
Not to mention, I actually grew up playing in band with the grand daughters of Porter Wagner, the man who discovered her (I Will Always Love You was written for him by DP) If I could only figure out how to achieve this goal. You know what, I think she is working on getting a new website online at dollyparton.com, it's not fully functional yet but maybe she'll put up a link for fans....although, I doubt it.

Omg... Check this old school youtube video out of Kenny and Dolly's Islands In The Stream. I really want this song played at my wedding, if I ever have one.

2. Be able to fully support myself playing drums.

I've half-way achieved this one, and I'm currently playing with about 5 different bands/solo artists. I'm working on the first album where I am fully in control, and I teach a bunch of kids in my off time how to play drums. I practice every single day when I can and I feel I am respected in this industry. The financial part is the hardest one when you are creative.

3. To have free time where I can create, volunteer, spend more time with others.

This one is self-explainatory.

4. I want to meet all the great drummers, mentor with them, and leave my mark in this crazy world. (Helping to change the world for the better would be nice too)

5. Be able to meet everyone that I would love to meet in life, including Stewert Copeland, Eddie Izzard, Rosie O, Melissa E, Jon Stewert, Sarah McL, Madonna, and the list could continue all day.

6. Have children of my own and be able to support them.

Geez, this one is going to be hard, but I'm hoping in the future it will work out. If it's meant to be, it will.

I'm off for a long day ahead of me -- work, drums, a volunteering thing for Animal Rights, and then to a friend's house for a cookout!

Don't take life too seriously.
