Queens of The Stone Age

The boys from Queens of the Stone Age, who totally describe their music as "robot rock," will be putting on a free live concert in Louisville at Ear X-tacy this weekend.

Here are the event details from their website.

Some people have no clue what rock and roll is, but these guys understand. This group has hosted guest appearances by everyone from Dave Grohl, of Nirvana and The Foo Fighters, to Screaming Trees vocalist Mark Lanegan, to Ween's Mickey Melchiondo on guitar, and even Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford. This band has always been tight and crazy!

Ugh! I'm so jealous!!! Rated R and Songs For the Deaf are two of my favorite albums. Also Dean Fertita (who played keyboards with the Raconteurs and various other Detroit bands) is with them now.

Hope you have a blast.
