Sundays

Has anyone noticed that there is never anything on television on the weekends anymore? I miss Bill Maher on Friday nights, among many other things.

Gretch and I sat down last night, with a desperate need of finding something of interest on television. We came across Gene Simmon's The Family Jewels. I didn't think I would like it, although I am a KISS fan, but much to my suprise, I found myself laughing out loud, hysterically. The episode caught my attention because the crew Gene, his love, Shannon Tweed and her sister all three traveled to Louisville for the Kentucky Derby. I usually cover the derby, so it was interesting to watch. I couldn't help but laugh through the entire episode, I honestly believe that show is one of the best of reality celeb tv! The son is my favorite, he should seriously look into being a comedian. Looks like I have another show to add to Netflix!

On another reality celeb tv show, can we talk about the Two Coreys on A&E? Did anyone watch? I couldn't help myself although I am a little bit embarrased to be telling you all this on the blog. I really enjoyed it. I was a big fan of the movie, The Lost Boys, back in the day...although not so much a big fan of the two Coreys. On the show, I found the wife to be obnoxious, and I found myself feeling really sad for Corey Haim. Why do I care, you ask? I have no idea. Although for those who did watch the show, I would have totally ordered a pizza too! No offense, PETA.

I can't quite figure out my obsession with reality television but maybe it's because instead of seeing dolled up pundints and fictional based shows, I prefer the realness of it. Even if it's only partially real.

And I won't even go there with my opinions on Hey Paula! Although for some reason the word Tragic, seems to fit the catagory.
