Stevie Wonder is going on tour! This will be his first tour in nearly 20 years. The annoucement came yesterday from the Grammy winning singer-songwriter at a news conference. Titled "Wonder's Summer's Night" tour, the 13-city road trip will kick off August 23rd in California. Stevie's concert itinerary will include his performance at the upcoming Dream Concert fundraiser for the building of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial in Washington, D.C., which will take place on my birthday, September 18th at New York's Radio City Music Hall. (I now know what I want for my birthday -- check out this line up!)
The line up will include Aretha Franklin, Queen Latifah, Joss Stone, Carlos Santana, Garth Brooks, Robin Thicke, Babyface and others. Wonder last toured in 1986. He released his first album in ten years, "A Time To Love," in 2005.
This reminds me -- My favorite episode of The Cosby Show was the one where Stevie Wonder was hit by Denise and Cleo...Here's the link...
In honor of Stevie and my love for him, here's a link of Part-Time Lover
