FIRE!

The 4th of July holiday seems to always be a great experience for me. I did do some work yesterday and then finished up to head over to some friends' house where we all played the card game, Hand & Foot, which is very similar to Canasta.

I failed to mention that last week in South Carolina, I picked up some 3D Firework glasses and planned to use them last night. They turned out to be the highlight of the party, and are very trippy to watch fireworks through, which also gave me a great marketing idea that I will share in the future. We grilled burgers and took pictures of our fireworks extravaganza. I have to say, Indiana sure is crazy about fireworks. I thought I was in the crossfire of combat military personel for a minute or two last night. You don't always get that craziness on the Kentucky side of the Ohio because fireworks are illegal. I also find it strange that as Americans, we celebrate our independence, which is questionable, with blowing up stuff for all to see. Never the less, I can't say that I didn't have a good time doing it.

My group, The Confessional, was back in the studio this week working on vocals, we are so close to being ready to mix the album and I'm starting to get excited. To me, it doesn't matter if the album actually does good or not, it's the fact that we have put in time and effort to songs that we have lived by for the past four years or so. I'm proud of what I hear so far. There's only a few things left to do and it will still take more time but the final peice of art will be well worth it when I'm older.
